Sir Jon Trimmer Visit to our school

On Tuesday 5th November Sir Jon Trimmer came to our school to speak about his amazing ballet courier. He showed us photos of his amazing courier and told us a story of when he was in a ballet recital and he went to lift up a famous Russian ballerina and the other man wasn't on the other side to help and take his half but Sir Jon Trimmer caught her and made it all look like it was suppose to all happen.

Run, Jump, Throw trials

On Wednesday we had Run, Jump, Throw interschool trials.
Mrs McKenzie- relay running and vortex
Miss Swanson- discus
Mrs Sutton- shot-put
Miss Lemon- high jump
Mr Sauders- Long jump

My favourite was discus.

Arts Week

Last week we had arts week. We made Funky Felt Monsters and Masks made out of  boxes.
The first arts week item we made were masks. Everyone was extremely creative with the masks and their ideas. The three things we had to have were eyes, nose and mouth. We also layered, bent, folded, curled, etc...
 Then we glued on our pieces and began to layer. Gradually after time we started to add 3d items.
Once we finished our masks after two and a half hours over two days we could start our Funky Felt Monster. My monster was blue and green with a aqua tummy added with a red button, a blue button and a yellow button, with yellow eyes sewn on.
 Then we created our Calendar art by using photo's of them.

Kapanui's Got Talent

On Thursday Kapanui School had Kapanui's Got Talent.
There were lots of performances. Lots of my friends performed too.
Lily and Aria sang a song that Lily wrote about her dog Cadbury, Cassey sang, Kleo and Roseanna did a acrobatics dance, Ella, Jamila and Charlotte played the cup song,  Catherine played the piano and Jaylen did cheerleading with her sister and two girls from Allstar Vitcory.

Hi my name is Riley and I am going to you a bit about me and who I am.
I love writing stories and I also really like reading. I think I am quite good at maths too.
I go to Kapanui School.
I really like drawing landscape art. I draw islands, flowers, trees, streets and houses.
I am also a librarian for my class. I find being a librarian a fun challenge because it gives me another responsibility to look after.
